Lowering my '92 LS..Shocks??
I just bought some Eibach 1" lowering springs for my '92 LS. I have about 150K miles on the ride, and am wondering if I can keep my stock shocks. I don't need a stiff suspension, I just wanted the 1" drop for cosmetic purposes/rims. Has anyone every dropped their LS and kept OEM shocks? If so, what are the effects if any? Should I spend the extra 250$ and buy shocks?
Thanks

You can keep your stock shocks with the Eibach springs, but they'll go out on you in a matter of months. Either way you'll end up getting new shocks anyway, so you might as well save on the installation costs and just have the aftermarket shocks installed while you're doing the springs.

I'm guessing is due to the size of the new springs. Since to lower the car, you need shorter but heavier springs, your stock shocks are made for a softer ride, and will work as triple as hard to try to keep up with this smaller size spring that doesn’t rebound as easy as a longer softer spring.
I could be wrong, my .02 cents

Hi lexls40092 , I am considering going back to stock suspension. I will sell you my H&R springs and/or GR-2 Struts. They have about 3000 miles on them. Looks cool and handling is much better but not as smooth of a ride as stock.

I'm looking for some springs and shocks for my 98. Would your shocks fit my 98?
A good question.

GRAND, if you want a soft ride the Bilstein's would be to firm for you.
