very bad idea coz' the shocks will go bad very soon and you will end up paying more labor to change the shcks

Why would they go bad?

the springs have different spring rate and it's also lowered so it compresses the shocks more. this will cause the shocks to go out a lot sooner, especially considering how soft the stock shocks are

That's what I thought. Just wanted to confirm.

How do you match springs and shocks then? I have a set of Intrax Springs waiting to go on...what shocks would complement them?

good question, that's the problem with mix matching springs and shocks, you don't know what's good. in general, the higher the spring rate (stiffer), you want stiffer shocks to go with them

from what i have heard, for a lot of springs, the bilestins shocks are pretty good, stiffer but not like rock. maybe you can give that a try

and personally that's why i usually recommend coilovers, they are engineered together so it's matched

$330 is a hell of a idea for shocks and springs. I'm about to jump into it myself with Sewell. I'm still deciding if I should keep the luxury look or drop it. What do you think guys???

Thanks.

how much did you pay for the L-tuned springs and shocks? And hows the ride compare to stock? I would like to lower my care but I care more about the ride then the money.

IMHO the stock gs has more of an suv look. A drop will look much better.
