Colder=smoother? Go figure?
I got one for ya'. What does it mean when your car shifts smoooooth when it's cold, then shifts hard as it warms up to normal temp.? My opinion? The transmission fluid is bad, has a thicker density when cold, then turns to water as it heats up, providing less support. So, if that is the case, then what does it mean when you purchased your vehicle from a lexus dealer, and insisted the vehicle have the full 90k service done as part of the price? Only to find that neither the inside cabin air filter was replaced, but the normal filter wasn't either.....makes you wonder if they did anything at all. But, the transmission fluid looks fine, has that healthy red tint. Maybe a drain an fill and not a full flush, like promised? Only put 5,000 miles on it since I bought it. Just turned 90k this morning.

I took mine in shortly after I got it for hard shifting problems, they agreed. They fixed it for a little while by increasing the slack in the throttle cable to the throttle body. They said the setting had readjusted itself and was too tight, making the engine rev between shifts. It worked for a little while, but now it's back. I wonder if the TPS could be bad? Got some kind of vibration when accelerating too that runs through the whole car. It's so dang expensive to even have a lexus tech just look at it that I think i'll wait.
