Sewell Lexus Touch Up Paint.
Not that I need touch up paint but I was strolling through Sewell parts on line and I see my touch paint is $9.00 for a bottle. In fact only two colors cost that much while all the other's are $5.29 or so.
I'm now puzzled why they are charging that much more ? I've paid five and change in the past at my local dealer so somethings fishy with them. There all the same size, I guess when it's a rare color they feel they can charge more!!!!

I think $9 is the norm for all Lexus dealers. That's how much I paid for my pearl white touch up paint. I didn't get a chance to check how much the other ones cost, but I'm guessing the reasoning behind the different prices is due to how many stages of paint your car has.

I paid the $9 at Sewell - but wow it is good stuff, matches my 10 yr car perfectly and that is hard to do in silver - so .. I say it is worth it. It felt great to touch up a small chip in the door edge only to come back the next day and have to search and search for the touch up repair!
But last night, I ran over big piece of tire tread on the highway, popped up from the car ahead and nowhere to go, scuffed my front bumper cover up pretty bad.. hopefully it will buff out well enough.

2 step process
I think you're going to pay more for some colors when you have to apply a base coat and a top coat. For instance, my Parchement Crystal LS requires that I use 2 different bottles. The first is a white tinted paint. The second is the pearl clear coat. The total for both bottles is about equal to buying 2 separate paint colors.
