Default How to get the correct color of touch up paint

I have a 2013 RX350 in 'Claret Mica' color.

1. How do I get the correct part number for touch up paint? No clues in the door jamb label or in the label on the underside of the hood.

2. On a different note, I found numerous tiny scratches under the door handles - more on the drivers side. They are the kind that do not require any touch up paint. Is the paint so soft as to be scratched by finger nails? The back seats have probably been used a total of perhaps 15 or 20 times so far. So I am really puzzled seeing the scratches under the rear door handles.

The only other information to add is that I noticed this phenomenon only today at the dealer's lot in bright sunlight when I picked up the car after the 10K service. I could not think of any possible reason why it could have been caused at the dealer's place. So I did not ask the SA. Not sure whether this is relevant information, but I wanted to list all the facts.

Most importantly, how can I prevent more such scratches under the door handles in future?

Code is 3S0. It should be in the door jamb label. You should see "C/TR" and the code. C is for Color and TR is for interior TRim color.

The fine scratches in the door handles can occur from a wedding or engagement ring. I'm guilty of that and trying to be extra careful as the paint's clearcoat is soft. But it easily buffs with a good quality cleaner wax.

Thanks a lot.
The scratches are not on the handle, but in the depression behind the handle.

elba123, I would highly recommend going with a compound like Meguiars 105. You can find out more details about it and other products in the detailing forum. Also, Sewell, one of the CL vendors, carries the touch-up paint. Here is the page for it. Disregard that I used 2013 450h to search. It wasn't listed under 2013 RX350. Claret Mica is 3S0.

Hi Elba,
I have the same problem with my white Highlander. I use DuPont's #7 white rubbing compound. The scratches, which are not into the paint, come off in a jiffy. Then a wax as a protectant is needed.
You may wish to try toothpaste in a small spot. It has about the same fine grit.
