Replace shock/strut mounts??
My LS400 has 100,000 miles on it and I am about to swap out the springs and shocks... is it worth the time and money to replace the mounts? Will I notice any difference in ride quality?

If the mounts are new, then this will be the time to replace them. Unfortunately, you won't know till you've removed them from the car. As for ride, a new insulator will mainly help to provide a level surface for the spring to seat on. The biggest change wil be the struts and springs depending on what you install.

Mounts
If you are using OEM parts and are not deterred by cost I would go ahead and do it. I would only use OEM for this though. I changed just the front upper strut assembly on my 94 ( along with the new f&r oem struts) at 143,000 miles. They mounts actually appeared to be in pretty decent shape.
Glad I went ahead and did it though because I think the ride is pretty smooth for 161,000 mile + vehicle.
