Default Cumbersome Glove Box

OK, I know it's politically incorrect to complain, but I do have a minor complaint with my '04 LS. Do any of you other '04 owners find the glove box door to be cumbersome? The damn thing doesn't open far down enough to get stuff in the lower part of the glove box without contorting your hand. The dual glove box set up on the '03 was better. Why did they fix what was not broken?

Cool i feel you d40

i dont own the 2004 Ls430, i own LS430 2001 i dont understand why the did that in the 2004 model that is something i tnink all 2004 owners should be upset about i know that this 2001 i own is my most storage friendly car ive owned. But cheer up D the upgrades on your ride are worth it 6 speed backup camera when my car came out the didnt have backup camera and intuitive parking as part of nav/marklev package so i guess all car companies tend to do that but your right making glove box less convient for a $60,000 car is not smart.I FEEL you D40 the more i thinkl about it as im typing the more upset i am because had i moved up which i was i wouldnt have checked the glovebox i would have assumed it didnt change once i noticed i would be pissed to.This is small to most but peolpe who pay over $40,000 after tax for cars its no small matter.Quality and convience are hand in had in luxury car segment.Other than that what are the differences of 2001-2003 LS430 to 2004 LS430 im curiuos im telling myself its not enough changed to switch but 6 speed or am i fooling myself because i know the 2004 is 2 times better or is it just alttle better than before the changes.

I do enjoy the backup camera, the intuitive parking sensors and the 6 speed. The glovebox is something minor that won't let me recommend this great machine any less, but it does annoy me and I wish someone had an answer as to why they farked it up like that.

Cool glovebox

I think they overthoght themselves D40 why i dont know but i think they did car companies at times dont seem to talk enough face to face with the buyers key word buyers of there cars opinion polls are fro anyone who gets a hold of a survey who buys a car but when you talk about $40,000 purchases that is no small amount to pay if its not good to you 40 its not small this isnt the first ive heard of people complaining this glivebox D this is the 4th one at differnet times ive been on line since new car came out and you know most dont want to seem like they are complaining so they wont say anything i have those gloveboxes on my 2001 and man i FEEL YOU they are so helpful especialy running your own business like me i need as much places to put things as i can get and it keeps my car from having lots of reciepts and paper work in the seats especially the bootom of the 2 gloveboxes. But i here ya 2004 is special car so its something you can get over but will miss. The headlightsand fogs and taillamps give it a more sharp crisp look i like it.I'll see first how new body style redo will look GS new look is ok but got to see it in person first not impressed yet seeing on ESPN Detroit motor show.Hope lexus doesnt do what they did to GS to LS if so I'll get your body stle used if they dont improve on the new.I know you dont drive a GS but im guessing styling is heading somewhere near GS in some ways. They have pictures on GS forum.

I would be willing to bet that the change was simply a cost cutting decision. I would also be willing to bet that if you really wanted it bad enough, it would probably be an easy retro-fit. Probably cost you some $$ though.

I'm sure you are right, but it's not worth $$ to me.

Usermel,

You add good thoughts to our discussions. That being said, your posts are VERY VERY difficult to follow. No punctuation and, frankly, rambling. With all due respect, can you please work on that so we can better converse with you?
