It's a very complicated job, involving removal of the intake manifold. I'd leave it to a mechanic.

You need to buy a shop manual do do this job. If you have tools and willing, get the shop manual and change it yourself. The starter this engine sit on top of the intake manifold so you have to take everything you see (top of engine) when the hood is open.

I would assume the mechanic will charge 10 hrs of labor for this job and he'll charge you the market price of a starter too. You can't bring in your own starter because he'll won't warranty it...

Price for the manual should be ~$150 for Volume one and two, the third one is the electrical manual. I don't know that you still can get it at these price... some people here paid up to $240 for just two volume. Shop around for price.
