2007 Lexus IS 250 speedometer needle LEDs
Hello everyone, some my 07 IS 250's LEDs in the needle of the speedometer and the ones in the needle that points at the revs have gone out. I contacted my local lexus dealer and they said that I had to replace the entire instrument cluster for approximately $2000 just to fix those little lights. I was wondering if anyone knew another way of fixing it, and if you do, possibly some instructions on how to fix it (a reference to a video tutorial of some sort would be extremely helpful)? Thanks a lot!

Hi all, i'am newbie on this forum.
Yesterday got the problem with tacho needle LEDs - today tried to replace needle LEDs (speed needle LEDs too). Tachometer needle is lighting good now, but speedometer won't lightup (tried to reinsert it few times, also tried to insert tacho needle in speedometer socket - nothing, so there is no needle problem). Tomorrow i will try to check voltage on speedometer needle socket, but if is there no any volts it is possible to replace this little voltage module? May be somebody tried something like this before? Thanks

Thanks, but problem is that i'am from Belarus, Brest city When i asked locksmith about programming new key fob, they looked at me as at crazyman...
I make mistake when putting back needle - i turned it by hand to clockwise over 260 km/h at speedometer and back then under 0 point - may be i overscrewed something (but needle is working good - showing actual speed, only not lighting)
Thanks

Solved the problem.
When i disassembled instrument cluster (with needles) i see main PCB with leds and needle-moving mechanism - so i removed little black cap from it and see little close-coiled two-wired flexible ribbon cable, so one wire was broken after i overscrewed it - easy to repair with special glue or soldering over.
Sorry for ym bad eng.
