Lexus IS350 Fog light + headlight matching
Hi, im trying to match my HID headlights to my halogen foglights. trying to get the same color temp (or close to it) im leaning towards either a 6000k/8000k garax HID for the headlight, but not sure 1) which halogen bulbs i need for the fog light 2) which wattage would best match the 6000k or 8000k?
I think the fog lights require: 9006 HB4 light bulbs
If anyone went this route before please help? If you could give me suggestions for both 6000k and 8000k route that would be much appreciated!

No matter how hard i tried to match halogen fogs to HID heads, no success on my part, so just went HID HLs & fogs
I tried 6k HLs with 6k halogen bulbs and the later was still too yellow. I switched it up to 8k and then it was way too blue. LED bulbs might give you better results. Then again brand plays an important role as i was playing with (most likely mislabeled) ebay bulbs.

well, i bought a retrofit HID conversion projector foglight from a current clublexus member doing a part out. it has 6000k. looks great! great range and color and visibility. now just to fix my driver's side headlight constantly going out after 5 mins of it being on... just replaced ballast and still same issue. going to get Phillips 6000k from nigel-jdm in a few days. hopefully that cures the problem and i will have perfect color match
