Highbeams Broke
I was going on vacation and riding in the car in front of my moms (FERARRI!) and I noticed her DRL were out. Well it turns out they don't go on and I can't get the brights (same bulb) to go on. I checked the fuses any Ideas before we take it in??

Pull the bulbs and examine them. IMO, the high beams are the easiest bulbs to get to on the RX 300. It's possible they've burned out. The bulb size is 9005.
I expect they're under warranty, but if they're burned out, replacements are pretty inexpensive. Personally, I'd replace them in 5 minutes, rather than spend an hour or 2 at the Lexus dealer.

Hmm, what did you install?
What's their rated power
consumption(in watts)? This
info is printed on the plastic
housing.

Chances are it's your bulb. Pepboys doesn't carry any high quality bulbs. The cheap bulbs usually only last around 6 months...if that .
Get some PIAAs bulbs. Have a good one!

I bought them at pepboys and there the right model.
Doesn't matter where you
bought them and the size/model
must be correct or they won't fit.
There are different ratings in power
consumption.
Again,
Hmm, what brand did you install?

12v 65W is okay. I was concerned that you were
using the 100W 9005 bulbs. Have you pulled them
and examined them closely. Look for soot, any change
or deformity in the glass. Sheke them next to your ear
and listen for any loose parts. Examine them carefully.
When you installed these aftermarket bulbs, did you
keep the OEM bulbs? Just throw those back in to for
test purposes.

The OEM bulbs work fine? Well, that's that.
Don't expect the dealer to support any warranty
claims on those Pep Boys xenons.
Get some Sylvania SilverStars. You should be able to get them
at Pep Boys, Autozone or Advance.
