HID's for what? The fogs? The hi-beams? Your car should have come with HID headlights anyway.

The factory HID run at a better Kelvin than most aftermarket HID. The true white color is far more superior than those 7k and higher kits. So in essence it only sucks in your eyes since you only care for the color...not the output and brightness.

if you mean healight and want bluer/pupler look, get 6000k. technically you lose some light but i have them, looks the same to me.

putting hid in high beam is stupid imho. hid needs time to fire up. you can't flash people anymore coz' hid is too slow. plus why put money on something you hardly use every day?

ok to answer your question.

You want Phillips 6000k D2s replacement bulbs.

one of the things that people dont think about is the factory HID 4300k might be brighter to the eye but they are D2r which are made for a reflective housing like ours.

So when you upgrade to the 6000k which has less visability you should get the D2s bulbs...which spread the light everywhere and actually make it brighter for the driver! At least in my case it did. hell people flash me all the time....even a cop flashed me the other day!

that's because your wrong bulbs are causing glare at everyone. it's not due to the brightness.

since they are designed for projectors, the beam pattern is different, there are bright spots and some areas will be filled with glare as if you were high beaming everyone.

D2R bulbs have shield in them so that it wouldn't cause any unwanted glare projected to the oncoming drivers.. Switching to D2S bulbs will definitely blind on coming drivers because it is not designed for reflective housings.. It doesn't have a shield to cover the "unwanted" light and glare..

You know, cops can pull you over for this one.. I think you just got lucky that the cop didn't turn around and pull you over..

Thats becuse the bulbs reach normal opertaing temperature after about 30sec . The color temp the factory capsules is optimal for viewable light (lumens). If clear, visable light "sucks" look for some ricer 8000K D2Rs on eBay.

it only SEEMS brighter, you don't gain anything ON THE ROAD. all the extra light are shooting into the sky. all you do is blinding people in the opposite direction while the driver gains nothing
