Lexus UK: Lexus LFA at Goodwood ride competition winners
http://blog.lexus.co.uk/2012/05/win-...a-at-goodwood/
We’ve got space for three winners – each of whom can bring a guest…
You’ll find full details of how to enter our competition on our Facebook page.
To keep you safe, we will supply our approved instructor and driver who will show you how the car works before taking you up the hill climb course for an unforgettable experience.
The Lexus LFA is a hand-built, precision-engineered supercar – and is capable of sprinting from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds. Its top speed is a staggering 203mph.
The 4.8-litre V10 engine is a masterpiece of engineering. It develops 555bhp, and is capable of revving to 9,500rpm. Made of titanium, aluminium and magnesium, the engine is smaller and lighter than many conventional V8s.
A 6-speed automated sequential gearbox drives the rear wheels and there’s a launch control system that automatically balances power delivery with available grip to give the car unbeatable pace.
As part of the package, we are also offering VIP tickets to a trackside viewing enclosure, plus lunch. We will piece together a video of your run, which will also be hosted on Lexus Facebook page, and this blog.
Full details of the day’s itinerary and our terms and conditions are available here.
Good luck, and we look forward to seeing you on track!
The winners of the Lexus Goodwood Festival of Speed competition are: Kaye Chapman, David Mitchell, Punit Patel and Steven Norfield. Congratulations!
The winners will be treated to a very memorable run up the famous Hillclimb in the passenger seat of the LFA supercar. The Goodwood show car is one of only 500 LFAs made in the world, and it’s the only one in the UK! The four lucky winners will also receive VIP treatment throughout the day.
Powered by a ferocious V10 engine and made using lightweight carbon-fibre construction, it roars from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds and is one of the fastest and most exclusive road cars on the planet. To find out more about the Lexus LFA visit the car chapter on the Lexus website.
We’d like to extend our thanks to all those who took the time to enter the competition.
Here is a teaser of what they can expect…this video was taken at last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed and features our competition winner, Johannes Rogert, taking his seat in the LFA Nurburgring for a one-in-a-lifetime ride.
