LFA Brake Job

Not an owner.
My understanding is that front pads alone are over $3k and then whatever installation runs.
As the brakes are supposed to have Lexus defined specs, I kind of wonder if any aftermarket pads have been identified.
Perhaps Brembo will sell direct.

The LFA was famous for its brakes. Some people used to say, braking at high speeds felt like a big parachute opening in the back of the car. Those carbon ceramic brakes especially when fully warmed up, were tough to beat by anything in the aftermarket.
Now, the downside is the OEM brakes cost a lot, but if the owner wants to retain the braking performance the way it was originally designed for, then it would definitely be wise to stick with the OEMs.

We are pretty sure the caliper is very similar to Ferrari's F458 which uses the same pad as Corvette ZR1 that we have excellent street pads costing about 1/10 of dealer price.

For a car as expensive/rare as the LFA, I just can't imagine going aftermarket unless I was racing/tracking and wanted something more powerful or better suited to those applications.
I have considered going with the RB IS-F pads just b/c I'm tired of the squeaking on the OEMs if it's DD'd at all, even with a good mix of very aggressive braking. I pretty much have to condition mine 3x a week and still get squeaking sometimes.

However this RB's PD1001-35 makes a Maserati customer (our office neighbor actually) so happy that he's now considering to keep the car after lease expired.

In additional to performance improvement, the best part is it only costs 1/0 of dealer price.
Our pad quality and price is uniform regardless it's an EVO or Maserati which happen to use the same front pads for Brembo 4-pot caliper.
LFA calipers are made by Brembo, so you may want to do more research and consider a trustful aftermarket brand than dealer.

I spent some some with LFA Nürburgring #410 a couple years back..
The Brembo CCM Rotors & Pads are just a work of art like the rest of the car..
They do a great job on the street and of course track..
Most owners will likely never replace either in their lifetime.
