I've been lurking on and off this forum for the past 10 years, and in this bittersweet situation, am finally selling my 1998 LS400. This vehicle has been in the family since 2001, purchased pre-owned with approximately 36,000 miles...and staying in the family 15 years and now nearly close to 187,911 miles.

The overall condition is great, possibly even excellent...but I state the former as I am a stickler for perfection and detail. This vehicle has been pampered, babied, and for an 18 year old vehicle really offers a great preservation of this era. Garaged at home and at work since 2001. It has full documentation and maintenance records for the past 10 years, 2 master keys and 1 valet key, the original wheels and tires, suspension, user manuals, a thrice used Noah car cover (http://www.covercraft.com/us/en/compare-chart), Weather Tech floor mats (original carpets underneath always protected), and a few others I'm missing.

Reason for the sale is I'm moving to SF, and am taking the other more compact car so this one really has limited use, pragmatically. The biggest challenge with this vehicle is a mileage discrepancy. It states 57,563 (not being driven as of this post) as many years ago when battery was changed, the mileage would jump lower =(. That being said, this has all maintenance records to approximate the mileage. I have scheduled to have this professionally adjusted, but am offering different price points as per below.

      1. Unnoticeable tear in driver seat near seam
      2. Small cut in dashboard
      3. Few backlights behind radio are out
      4. Mark on the steering wheel, currently covered by adhesive bandage
   3. Tires:
      1. Stock: good condition
      2. Aftermarket: front - ok, need replacement soonish; rear - great, lots of life
7. Aftermarket Parts (still have all stock parts, tires, wheels, suspension)
   1. Wheels: Vossen VVS-CV1, 20 x 8.5 front, 20 x 10 rear
   2. Suspension: Tein CS with EDFC motors (no controller)
   3. Tint: 35%, this has been on the car since 2001 possibly longer so whichever brand it was has preserved amazing quality

Asking Price: $4,500 with mileage as is OR $4,250 after adjustment*

The aftermarket wheels are a very minimal premium as they are in decent condition. No bends, balanced but have curb rash that has been touched up.

*This is priced very favorably for buyers as I am looking less for the money, but more for the RIGHT buyer. Someone who would appreciate this vehicle and if they so choose to modify or not, treat this vehicle with the same care and respect this vehicle has been treated with over the past 10 years. For the right buyer, this will be a great deal. I trust that Club Lexus will produce the right individuals.
