(great/helpful group of people) but when I posted my SSR for sale at "my" price I got the opposite of support.

Point is that one thinks offering it on the enthusiasts site might be best , some "enthusiasts" become price/value experts.

I did get action, and my price, on Autotrader.

My 2 cents worth

Thanks a lot for the advice. I appreciate it!

Very nice car. Toyota/Lexus of the 90's will all soon become classics. I have yet to find a brand new Toyota/Lexus that I like more than anything they produced from the 90's.

Yes, I have to agree. Although that IS-F I had for a while was a blast to drive.

Gorgeous car, and exceptionally rare (not just because its a 1 of 120, but because of its condition and mileage). In the 10 years that I owned an SC I dont think I've ever come across a 97 5spd as clean as this.
If I ever got back into an SC it would be to do a GTE swap, and this is definitely not the car I would want to do it on. But there WILL be someone out there who will appreciate this vehicle. Stick with the price, its spot on in my opinion

Thanks. I really wanted to do a nice turbo setup on this car, but it is way too nice to mess with it. If I end up keeping it I might do little things like changing the wheels and stuff like that and enjoy it for what it is. It rides and drives as good as it looks.

Sorry to bump an old thread but your car is very clean and nice. However you have to think about what you can buy for $10k-$15k. There are so many cars in that price range. Even on here so that's why people trip about the price. Concluding I hope you get a good amount for it and if no one comes close to your price then keep it and enjoy it glws.

Yeah I have been driving it more lately. The more I drive it the more I cosider keeping it. It is such a nice car!
To your point, you can get a lot of cars for 15k, and this car is for those of us who can appreciate it for what it is. I get compliments everytime I drive it. Thanks.

Exclamation I remember this car!

I remember this car it was at this Mercedes Dealership in Durham, NC.
They were asking a crazy high price for it.
I really hope you did not pay their asking price?
If so, I think you might own this car for a long time before you are able to sell it for more than you paid for it.

Yes, I saw it for sale there and immediately jumped on it. To me it was a once in a lifetime find. I paid what i thought was fair for it, but no, I did not pay asking price.
I love this generation SC, and I've had a few. To me the 97 SC300 manual is the most valuable SC. I like this car so much that I finally sold my super low miles 04 Z06 last night and decided to keep the SC.

With that said, moderators please close/lock this thread. The car is no longer for sale.

Thanks.
