1992 SC300 5 speed $5500 OBO
NOW A ROLLING SHELL (ENGINE/TRANSMISSION REMOVED - WILL TAKE BEST OFFER
I have a 1992 Lexus SC300 up for sale.
- all original 5 spd model
- arizona/west coast car most of its life (driven up to NE in August 2012)
- garaged during the NE winters (never seen snow)
- clean title in hand
- have carfax in hand - no accidents or abnormalities reported
- 174k miles
Unfortunately I must part ways with this car. I had all sorts of plans but I got a job in Omaha (live in Lincoln) and so have to sell her to fund a little econobox that will get me back and forth to work. It would be nice to find someone to pass the baton onto who would like to continue on with this car.
I've only put 2300 miles on it since I've owned it and I've done the following work - so any part listed has 2300 miles or less on it (abbreviated list):
- Car Steering Wholesale steering rack with inner tie rods
- Lexus OEM outer tie rods
- Figs Engineering steering rack bushings
- OEM Front brake rotors/pads
- Infiniti G35 17" staggered wheels freshly powdercoated gold
- Driftmotion stainless steel braided power steering line
- Aisin (OEM) water pump
- note: timing belt was replaced by previous owner at the 163k mile mark - have receipt
- OEM Radiator/cap/hoses/thermostat/coolant flush
- Marlin Crawler shifter bushings
- Engine ground wires replaced with custom 4 gauge wires made by me
- Headlights professionally polished
I have a huge stack of receipts for the work I've done and the work that the previous owner has done. This car is close to being ready to be modded (of course it can be kept stock too!). It is still all original with the exception of the parts listed above. I have had a shop go through the car and it is solid.
I was planning on doing the following things (before I got this job and needed a commuter car):
- new OEM clutch (current one is approaching the end of its life. it is still fine to drive but will have to be replaced within the next year)
- power steering pump rebuild kit (the pump is fine but has a small leak)
- driv side window moulding has small cracks in it from the arizona sun. it's been like this for years so not a big deal but should eventually be replaced. was going to black out the chrome trim while i was in the process of replacing the moulding (always find opportunity when needing to fix something!)
Thanks for looking!

*****lowered to $4500*****
*****BUMP LOWERED TO $4500*****
was trying to figure out a price gauge for it and it seems like $4500 is more appropriate. i want to stay firm on that considering all the work that's been done (there is more work than what i listed here - it's all documented in a spreadsheet). someone take this off my hands! thanks.
