****sold please remove thread****For sale 1997 Lexus Sc300 with Automatic 2JZ-GTE VVt-I swap. ****sold please remove thread****
The car is up for sale as three children and a girlfriend don’t fit so well.
The car is black with moon/sun roof.
Electronics work: A/C, power seats, dash lights, moon/sun roof.
Here’s the goods:
Full 3.5” Apexi exhaust
Walbro Fuel Pump
Greddy Blow-Off Valve
Tein Coilovers
Black interior w/ IS300 Steering Wheel
98+ Gated Automatic Shifter
AEM v2 custom VVt-I version tuned by Alpha at Induction Performance
Dakota Digital SGI-5 C
Stainless Steel Brake Lines all around
Big brake upgrade in the front
Bross-drilled slotted rotors all around with EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads
Double Din touchscreen Dvd player
Instrument Panel swapped for fully light panel. (shows 210k on odometer, body has roughly 150k, engine has roughly 65k + 15k driving = 80,000 miles)
This car was long time project that was started and has only been on the road for about two months before selling. All receipts are accounted for as everything has been done in a shop. . . from the day the 2JZ-GTE engine went in, to the final AEM v2 install.
Tickets from JDM of Orlando and Induction Performance (where Alpha, best Toyota Supra tuner in Florida is located! Ask Titan Motorsports)
Issues & Solutions:
With a 2JZ-GTE VVt-I it is driven by wire, with an upgraded system this needs to be changed. What happens currently is the car takes 8-10 seconds of cranking to start and shifts all gears by 40 mph creating low rpms. (The car DOES work Auto, just doesn't race in manual) If you want quick boost or are trying to race someone you need to shift in manual (i.e., 1,2,3,D) If your a manual transmission guide, you can drop the auto and put in cheap manual and this is resolved.
Aftermarket head unit installed without removal of stock amp. This creates a whining noise in the speakers as if you installed the power for an amp on the same side as RCA cables, not the case in this situation, the stock amp needs removed. I'm not into a car system and haven't touched it.
Solved with a ground loop isolator filter, can be installed by any local audio shop.
Car recently slide out on a turn and damaged rear driver side quarter panel and passenger side skirt.
Repairs should be minimal, but reason this is reason for price drop, compensate for repair costs.
Car still drives fine. radiator leaks and needs replaced.
Damage shown below.
