Lexus factory upgraded stereo systems then and now..
Being a lexus enthusiast for over 10 years and now working in a dealership Ive heard them all. The ML system in the LS and GS sounds good but in the IS and the LX it flat out ROCKS. I'm not impressed with the GX system though at all. But as good as the ML system is, honestly I think the old nakimichi system in the LS back in the 90s blows the pants off of the ML system. It may not be 7.1 surround, Bluetooth capable, or have HDradio or SAT but if you want to jam at freakishly high levels and not have to worry about blowing the sub, have heart pumping bass, and crystal clean highs the old NAK system sounds more pure, real, and spacial then the ML system. Your thoughts?

Both are unreliable for how much they cost....nak is great but amp always has problems.....ML is junk compared to what aftermarket systems can give you in not only output but control.....simply put no stock system on the planet give an audiophile that perfect sound....for me it's a no brainer.....for what it costs to replace an amp on either one of these systems.....you can update to a top of the line aftermarket system with minimal knowledge just need a diy.....people expect to bang there stock system that wasn't designed for max output all them time and it last forever...simply put is the amp worth $1000...hell no...With just that you can put a double din touch and a 5 channel amp....have more control more wattage....higher volume....The speakers and sub aren't the problem here....
