'05 ES330 rear door speakers blown
I need to replace the back speakers in my ES330 and I can't find any good solid advice as to what to replace them with. I know the replacements are quite expensive and I'm wondering if there's an aftermarket speaker I could pop in there and have it sound just as good or even better.
Also, I know is says the size of the rear door speakers is 6.5, but I don't think an after market speaker will just fit right in there. In the door there is a plastic enclosure that looks like it will only hold specific size speakers. Does anyone have any experience replacing these and know of an exact speaker that will work without a bunch of "extra" work?
I appreciate any help you can give me.....

Check the ES-330 section. I upgraded the speakers in my ES-350 and had to use a 6x9 to 6.5" adapter. Even my $80 replacement speakers sound many times better than the more expensive factory models.
Are you looking for component or coaxial speakers? What is your budget? You will need to add $15 for the adapters and $5 for the wiring harness connectors so factor that in.

I was just gonna go with coaxial, or now that you mention it, maybe 6x9's with an adapter. Budget = maybe $130. Really, whatever it takes within reason to get it sounding right.
Where did you get the adapter from and what brand of speakers did you use? I appreciate your response. I've been trying to find a solution for weeks now without any luck
