Passport vs. Valentine

Passport vs. Valentine
Didn't find a thread on the F section, and I'm not interested in the 2is forum cause its way too long, LOL, and besides they don't have a 5.0 v8 just kidding haha, but what do you F drivers prefer over the two? I know the passport is better for false detections but the Valentine shows you where.. OR any other detector in the price range! input would be appreciated.

Valentine directional arrows are gimmicky and pretty pointless IMHO. Why do you need to know where it's coming from? You just need to know there's one around you and have enough warning to slow down. Passport 9500ix has GPS so it alerts you for redlight camera's, speed traps, and it will memorize frequency locations and lock out false alarms. After a week of driving around your town the only time it will alert you is when it's an actual threat. I believe the sensitivity of the Passport is also a bit better too. However, the Beltronics Pro 500 also has GPS mapping and according to radar forums is supposed to have the best alert capabilities.

I found the valentine to be useful when freeway driving
Signals from the sides when I'm on the freeway obviously could be ignored. It's nice because it also reaffirms you that the RD is indeed working when you get a signal above and 1 mile later see the cop on the side of the road
Thanks for adding that! Forgot to mention passport does indeed warn you about red light cameras. It can be annoying sometimes as it still warns you when you are on the freeway
