my friend recently went to best buy and got a aux. cable installed into the stock head unit.. what it did was for the cd button it renacted like it was the cd player.. but had 2 options... 1 was for the actual cd player... and the other was for the ipod.. it renacted like cd player but was connected to the ipod directly like as if it was an after market head unit but does not show on the face of the stock head unit..the counter just kept repeating itself like there was a cd in there... is there a way to do that with a stock head unit for a 1994 sc 300????

I don't remember anybody offering a plug-and-play aux adapter for a pre-2000 Lexus except for a few 98-00 models. The ones for the 98-00 models don't seem to be available anymore -- I read they were withdrawn because they didn't work properly.

All this is kinda funny because I paid only about $15 some years ago for a Soundgate aux adapter for my wife's 98 Camry -- it plugs into the CD port on the back of the radio and has a three position switch to alternate among Aux 1, Aux 2 and CD -- funny because my wife doesn't care about using an iPod or MP3 player in her car.
