1991 LS400 audio questions
Hey guys, i've been researching about headunits, speakers and subs and i can't decide on what to pick or do.
Headunit: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pione...tured+Item+Mod
Speakers: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...105&tab=review
or
http://shop3.frys.com/product/548509...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG
or should i just go all out for these
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...9GTO427&tp=102
Sub: Not sure if I want to put any money into a subwoofer for the rear deck, since i took out the stock one because it tore its self apart. I might just get one 10 and stick it in the trunk.
So, what do you guys think I should go with? I plan on keeping the car for years to come so any advice is welcome.

I started with JL TR400CXI's up front in my SC, those little speakers rocked, very well built. The JBL's are also nice...personally now though I am a fan of Alpine. For the head unit, ehhhh it should be fine, I would try to go for a 2 din because there will be a big dash kit needed for that 1 din. And lastly for the sub I suggest a Kicker CVT. But you'll need a new amp. People usually have put a Kicker Comp10 on the rear deck, but with a LS it might just be best to throw a single 10 in a box, that's what I have. Ohhh and dump the circuit city. I love sonicelectronix.com, excellent prices and information on a ton of equipment. Good luck.

+1 for sonicelectronix.
also for the double din head unit. you'll get more features and it will look better in your dash.
for speakers, it really depends on what kind of sound you like. go to CC and listen to them. bring a cd that you like and know how you like it to sound.
definitely get a sub. you'll need some good power though to bang through the gas tank and piece of sheet steel which is between your trunk and cabin.

I personally prefer the Pioneers over the JBLs. Be advised that this is a a very subjective statement. As everyone else said.....you will want an upgraded sub. If you want a simple drop in look for something designed for an Infinate Baffle setup.

Alright thanks for your help guys. I've decided to go with the Pioneer DEH-P4000UB deck. I know it's single din but the 2 din ones were a little too expensive. I still don't know what to get for speakers, as far as those go. What do you guys recommend? Thanks
