also have a 2GS. just bypassed mine the other week. took it into the shop because i was too lazy to bypass it myself. it's true that you do lose your oem sub though. in terms of a navigation for under 450, there is an eclipse double din head unit that comes with all the works. you might wanna check that out. i bought myself a pioneer avic-d3; comes with a built-in 9band crossover so the sound quality sounds pretty good even with the factory speakers. hope this helps
