i have 3 12w3v3 running on a jl 1000.1 my hi to low converter is connected to the oem rear sub but the converter keeps blowing up. Where am i supposed to connect the converter?

i just installed my jl 12w6v2 the other day. for my gs300, what i did was remove my rear seats and deck. there should be a harness/plug that the factory oem sub connects to. what i did was leave it plugged in but snipped the wire about half way to the oem sub and did a wire splice to the hi to low convertor, then grounded the rca ground and hi to low ground to one of the 3 bolts holding down the factory sub. (though grounding is not necessary, it is believed to give it a better sound so i did it anyway). feel free to contact me for any questions. hope this helps!

my hi low keeps melting too. this is my 3rd one and it is beginning to melt when i turn the music up kinda loud. anyone know why? im just using 1 12"
