Does anyone have simple solution to SC400 CD-Changer? Is there any unit out there that we can replace the stock unit with?
An YES do post the diagram for everyone.

some help with the cd player
I've been working on a solution for the stock cd system for some time. It is possible to force another cd player to work with our SC system and still control it with the stock head unit.
Some wiring is required as is some knowledge of the player you are interfacing. All you need to do is ensure the serial [our pioneer cd players use a 4 wire signal, TXM+ (CD B1), TXM- (CD B3), TXS+ (CD B2) and TXS- (CD B6)] communication is the same and connect the wires appropriately.
The aftermarket system also needs to use a common signal ground and you may or may not need to work in a signal for the luggage compartment courtesy switch.
There are no aftermarket direct plug in solutions yet.

well not all work.
Not any cd player can work, but as long as you properly identify the wires on the cd changer you wish to use, and you have the same types of seriel signals, then nothing really could get harmed in trying. It would be worth it for us to try with various changers. I have gotten it to work with an old bmw changer which had a 14 pin layout. The number feedback was somtimes goofey but the disk controls worked.
