Default Drop-in subwoofer replacement/upgrade for IS350 with ML

Has anyone done this? I am wondering if there is a good subwoofer out there to replace the stock one that can simply be dropped into the stock location. One that is compatible fit wise as well as power-wise.

I am considering doing an aftermarket sub w/amp, but I haven't been able to get any opinions from anyone on that either.

I've actually decided I am not going to do a "drop-in" install.

Instead, I am going to install a JL Audio 10" W6V2 subwoofer in a sealed enclosure powered by a JL Audio 250/1 amp. JL Audio sells this subwoofer in a pre-built enclosure that is VERY small. I will post pics once it's installed.

The only thing I am debating it whether or not to REMOVE the stock sub instead of just disconnecting it. I'll probably just leave it installed...

Technique:

Remove the stock sub, but leave the stock grille on the rear deck.

1.) This will allow more air to be moved into the cabin. More air moved = high dB output.

2.) The elimination of the stock sub will save you a couple lbs in unsprung weight.
