Question

Okay last year you helped me remove the rear parcel shelf to get at that offending sub. Now I need to know if there are any special precautions for the door panel removal. The three screws along the bottom and aft of the rear door are out , and the panel is clear of about 3 push clips. It still feels very secure around the upper edge and the closing handle. Curious minds that really don't won't to breaks things want to know...

Take out the rear ashtray container and the main tray/window switch module. This is held in place by a clip so it's quite snug. After you pull out the ashtray/window switch module (just pull straight up) you'll have to use a small phillips head screwdriver to remove the light bulb housing for the window switch. You should see a bolt that holds the door in place near the doorhandle area. Remove this and you should be fine. Any other probs, send email.

Be glad this isn't the IBM help desk. We called it the "Helpless Desk" way back then since most of the rookies didn't know what they were doing!

Thumbs up

Thanks Percy again for the help. After I posted the thread I went out to the garage determined that these door panels would not kick my butt and figured the rear door panels out. They pay me to repair and maintain their 150 million dollar aircraft for crying out loud, I'm embarassed to think I had given up so soon. I guess it's the nature of the business I'm in to ask questions when in doubt, mistakes can be very costly!

Again Thanx
