15,000 Mile Service Necessary?

Nonsense. This is a money making proposition for the dealership, and for what they do, there's little benefit to saving you money in the future.

waste of money
All the items provided at the so called 15,000 mile service are items that either do not need to be replaced at that point or can be easily done by the owner. I'm not even talking about an oil change, which btw is so basic any self respecting driver of anything should be doing him or herself. But here we're talking about wipers, fob batteries, and cabin filters. Seriously, if the dealership did what it was supposed to do at 5k and 10k, there is nothing that needs to be done to this vehicle at 15k but to drive it. This is made up crap to rip off the lame brained. Move on. The answer is no.

Maintenance on these cars is pretty easy - even the brakes are easier than my Civic.
Just make sure you keep good records and all receipts.

Was wondering if i should take my is350 in for service since I've already had it for a year and did the 5k maintenance in september. Being that its been 7 months already since the maintenance check and only had 6k total miles should i go have my car checked and replace the oil?

really all these cars will usually need during a typical lease period is two oil changes and a set of brake pads. thrown in a cabin air filter for good measure.
