Default Brake Noise

Has anyone experienced any excessive brake noise? Driving to work this morning and noticed the car was not stopping as normal and brakes being very loud. Did a quick check and found my driver's rotor looking like this...

by the looks of it, there is a small and hard material/debris between your rotor and your pads and every time you use the brakes, the pistons compress the pads and subsequently that material wedged in between thus scraping/carving into your rotors.. stop driving it and take the pads out to inspect immediately to clear any debris, use brake cleaner, then take it to a mech to evaluate if rotors need to be replaced..

I have had that happen before. Going in reverse while riding the brakes eliminates the problem 99% of the time and barely leaves any wear on the rotor. The two groves in the rotor feel pretty deep for a small piece of debris to cause that.

I will take a look this afternoon...
