Default Smart Access question

So when i first took the car home, i could unlock the car by touch the rear door handles and it would unlock all the doors for the car. However, my car wanted to update, and after doing this, this feature does not seem to work anymore. I can still touch the drivers side and front passenger side to unlock the doors, however, i am no longer able to unlock the car using the rear doors.

Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this issue? much appreciated. thank you.

There are no sensors (unfortunately) on the rear door handles, so no, you cannot unlock the doors by gripping those handles. The sensors are only located on the front doors.

Probably a mistaken or accidental trigger of the remote when you touched the rear handles. There are no sensors so not physically possible.

I agree. I don't think there are sensors in the rear handles. Perhaps they mistakenly put them in some of the rear handles and you got one of these cars.

You can see the sensor on the inside of the front door handles. On the front doors the covers are black and of matte material. The rear door handles are whatever the color of your car is.

While washing my car with my keys in my pocket, I noticed that I could get the doors to lock/unlock by touching various parts of the car. It's not reliable or repeatable and doesn't happen often, but it happens.
