By the time your vehicle has been pusehd out of the assembly line, traveled thousands of miles to the dealership often times the paint requires a decontamination to bring it back to 100%. After I purchased my I350 the first thing I did was clay the car. You can use a clay bar or a foam pad. After this is complete you want to then polish your vehicle. Lastly you should apply for your wax or sealant.

Happy Detailing!!!

Totally agreed. I can guarantee the clay would be a bit dirty especially on the lower panels where no white plastic are applied. Another reasons for contamination are rail road dust and air pollution fallout during transit.

Actually I would use Carpro Iron X first prior to clay application as Iron remover such as Iron X would make less contact with the paint and the less clay application time.

Good point! I forgot to mention before claying the vehicle I gave it a nice wash with a foam cannon and 2-bucket wash. I used Chemicals Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss. Normally I use Mr. Pink for maintenance washes but whenever I start the decontamination process I also go for the Citrus Wash n Gloss.
