2014 IS-250 Remote Start with Factory keypad integration
I had been waiting a long time for a remote start solution to be available for my 2014 IS-250 with navigation. I finally saw idatalink released a firmware for their ADS-ALCA bypass module that allows you to add a remote start that is triggered by the factory keypad. It was a fairly easy installation and it started up right away. If anyone has any questions on this I would be more than happy to answer. I do have car installation experience, but I didnt find the installation to be that difficult in general.

I will take a video of it working later, but below is a list of the products. You technically only need one part, however it needs to programmed for the proper firmware, so if you dont own a programmer or know someone who has one, you will need to purchase one.
With ebay prices, everything should still be around $100 or less.
- ADS-ALCA - http://www.idatalink.com/product/product/product_id/1
- ADS-USB - http://www.idatalink.com/accessories.../product_id/45
With ebay prices, everything should still be around $100 or less.

Where are you located? Didn't you need the RES parts from Lexus as well? I'm interested in getting this done immediately- pls clarify about the RES as it's not readily available in Canada and I'll need to order from Sewell but am expecting it to cost over $700 plus the parts above and labour.
Also have you noticed any 'side effects'? I'm still at a loss as to why Lexus pulled this off the market
Thank you for posting this!!

There are no side effects after installing this product. Everything works as expected and it only costs around 100 dollars! I am located in Philadelphia.

wow - some this looks great. I have a 2014 IS350 and would love to have this installed as well. Would you mind sharing where you bought the product and if you programmed it yourself or had a dealer/shop do it for you? Thanks and car looks great btw!

I did it myself, but I do have experience. There are 10 or so wires that need to be connected. This is an aftermarket product, so this is not something the dealership would sell, install, or program.

a DIY write-up would be greatly appreciated as well as where you bought the product(s). I looked at their website and the closest dealer to me is in Kent, WA. I am located in Vancouver, WA. Thanks!

I had intended to make a diy while doing the installation, but it was super cold out when I was installing and I lost motivation during the middle. I did take a few pictures, but there are definately gaps... It is deinfately worth doing though or at least getting done professionally..

Being able to learn where you bought the product (you mentioned eBay prices??) as well as how the install went (in terms of programming, what was used to program, and installation process) would be greatly appreciated!
