It looks great and I'm sure it serves the purpose, but Lexus should have come out with something similar. I had Mazda MX-5 that had exposed cupholders and Mazda actually manufactured a cover that went over them, similar to what you've done. If Mazda can do it, Lexus certainly can.

I completely agree they could and one might argue should, given their less than optimal design in this area. The cupholders seem like they were a design afterthought and not part of the overall design that should have addressed all of the use cases of this space. Even from the drivers perspective the cupholders are placed in a way that makes it awkward to use.
