Default Bluetooth not reading messages with Samsung S4

Bluetooth not reading messages with Samsung S4. Everything was working fine and I did an update on my phone and messages are not working anymore. I unpaired the Bluetooth on the phone and car and still not working.

Not sure if Bluetooth stopped reading messages before or after update. Around the same time

Same problem in my S3 (android 4.3). Hope to solve with 4.4 update (if it'll be available for my smartphone)

Same thing happened to me after an update, but I noticed the problem after a couple of weeks. When I start the car, the phone asks me if I want to connect the messages with Lexus. I chose yes, and it works fine now. I don't remember this message when I got the car, previous to the update. Just start your car and look for the message on the phone. It worked for me, hope it does for you.

I did, when I unpaired the phone from the car and paired again. It asked me a couple of questions and clicked and yes for all of then. One was for lexus to access messages, to access contacts, phone records. Still doesn't work. I unpaired and paired about 3 times already. Everything works except messages.

I had a similar issue when playing with the phone in the car. My music streamed just fine, and I could see the contacts...but I could not click the messages option within the entertainment system.

I got it to work for myself...I use an HTC one, I restarted the phone and made sure the car did not have the phone in it's cellphone repository...and I made sure my phone was unpaired and "forgot" my car.

Pair it again, and it should work.

You did? I tried multiple times after reading this msg and still couldn't get it to work... maybe because I have a custom ROM?
