Default DIY:LEMS (Made by Piaa) signal light replacement for HID Headlights

Having been waiting for the light bulbs to arrived for one week, I finally received it yesterday. Today I found myself some spare time to replace them. The front signal lights are bit tricky as you need to remove a screw from the wheel linear and pull it to create some space so you can reach the light bulbs.

LEMS Packaging

Here is the screw you need to remove from the wheel linear (the one above)

Pulled the linear to get yourself some space. Once you pulled out the linear you can see the light bulb housing. It's very easy to find because it has this long handle at the back that help you to reach them.

Turn counter-clockwise to unlock it and pull it out carefully. Put the LEMS one back on.

Now it's the tail signal light. Before the work, the orange light bulb is pretty obvious from every angle.

Open the trunk, you can see there are two black covers, open it and you will see two screws holding the tail lights. Now unscrew them.

Once done unscrewing them, here comes to a tricky part, pulling the housing out. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE PULLING IT. Now go beside the housing, push against the housing and use some force to slide it out.

After the replacement, here comes the results.

I forgot to take before and after pic for the front signal lights, but here is the pic from LEMS official web site for the result.

Anyways, hope my thread is useful to everyone out there!!!

Great writeup! Is it still made in Japan?

Another choice could be the ones made by Bellof.

This was one of the first mods I did on my car.
Didn't use them LEMS bulbs, but ordered something similar from ebay.

However, I'd like to point out one small thing.
You don't need to access front bulbs through the wheel linear. It's esay to reach them from the top through the engine bay.
As far as I can remeber from when I changed them, I only needed to unscrew one screw and loosen the filler tube for the windscreen washer fluid to get access on the left side.
Right side was fairly easy access without rmoving anything.
However, this was on the 4 sylinder hybrid, and not the V6 enigne.

I have the headlights with the normal hid projectors which the space under the hood is pretty limited for where the turn signal lights are located....thats why ....

I have the LED lights.
As you pointed out, there may be a lot less space in the HID lights.

Now people with LED and HID lights know what they have to do to get access.
