My IS is sitting at the port. Any Experience with FL delivery timelines?
First, I just realized I've been a member of CL for over 11 years (had another account prior to '07) and am very excited to continue the journey as I recently leased another Lexus vehicle. This time around it's a 2014 IS350 F Sport w/ML Ultra White/Black.
I signed the lease with a local dealer in Miami around December 20th, but at that time there was a limited number of options in inventory available throughout South Florida. They were able to find me what I was looking for in their incoming inventory, which was slated to arrive a few weeks ago. There were some delays in delivery to the port, but as of last Thursday 1/17 they show that the vehicle was received at port just not yet processed. I was told it would arrive to the dealership by yesterday 1/21 but as of this morning it has still not cleared at the port and no ETA on when it will make it on a truck for delivery.
Just wondering if anyone has had as similar experience with their deliveries from port (Specifically in FL) and can help gauge what type of timeline I might be facing now that it is at least on US soil.
I only ask because I have to plan the return of my current leased vehicle....well and yes I am anxious to receive this new BAD A** IS!! : )
Thanks CL community!

From my experience. My dealer found my car already on the ship, on it's way to the port. It arrived to the port 2 days after walking into the dealer & reserving the car. But then it sat in the port processing for about 10-12 days before it went on the truck for me to take delivery. I don't know if mine was just a delay but the dealer told me it was average.

Thanks for the feedback all, and hope you are enjoying your new vehicles! I guess the 2-3 day delivery time from port I was told at signing really meant weeks in "sales" terms : (
I put a call into Lexus corporate to try and gain a bit more insight around realistic timing and what can be done at this point if anything to help expedite. If anyone has any recommendations on course of action or phone numbers to contact, I'd really appreciate it.
