if there was a power bump they wouldve announced it to hype it up more. Main reason I was originally holding out for a 2015 IS, but when I found out the RC engine is the same, just went ahead with a 2014
even then thats not a big enough bump to make me wait. Now if it went to 330 then we're talking but I can get to 314 with with an intake. Not sure what would make the RC have more power over the 2014 IS. Its even possible the 2014 IS is making that now, it did gain a true dual exhaust over 2IS. Who knows. But once I saw it wasnt a big gain, the main reason for me waiting went away.
This is leather. Note the ventilated seat controls. NuLuxe3 has evolved to have perforations but due to construction of the seat, they cannot add ventilation
That's wrong, the Lexus IS on the European marked have Nuluxe with memory, heated & ventilated seats.
If Nuluxe 3 is a completely different thing than whats's used in the IS, then I dont know.
There is also a button called TVD next to the traction off button. What is that?
That's the new Torque Vectoring Differential. There are 3 settings on the console that let you adjust the lockup rate of the LSD depending on the track conditions.

Sorry no I'm skeptical. I'm certain your car has leather, because the process used to create NuLuxe does not allow for ventilation otherwise it would be offered.
Ventilated seats are only part of the optional leather pacakge that is around 3K Euros.
Looking over at lexus.no they don't even specify ventilated seats, just heated for any of the listed models.
If you're thinking of the european F-sport with cooled seats, they have real leather.
Thanks for clarifying =)
It's not real leather either, it's called Tahara, and it's a synthetic leather
"Not only does it weigh half as much as regular leather, it’s also much less harmful to the environment. According to Lexus’ own figures, production of the material generates a hefty 65% less CO2, and it also gives off NO VOC volatile organic compounds. As far as green materials go, Tahara is very green indeed"

So because Lexus is pouring the foam into the seats they can't have ventilation seats? All other markets that have ventilated seats don't have poured foam construction seats? Are you also saying because of poured foam construction it had to be NuLuxe?

I answered your question about the RC and NuLuxe with the pictures. The pictures show ventilated seats hence they cannot be NuLuxe, they are Leather.
