Question 2015 is

So it looks like I will be in my car until the end of it's lease in July so I am wondering when we might start hearing some info on the changes/offerings for 2015? Anybody have any idea? I'm really starting to get eager to get into a 3IS or an RC.

Wednesday, we should know more details on the RC after the Detroit auto show (NAIAS) starting in a couple weeks January 18, but it's slated for "summer 2014" so you should be in good shape timing-wise (worst case, you can work out a deal to extend your lease by a couple months). And looks like you'll at least get your shot at USB with the RC (likely an F-Sport or the F), but still no certainty with USB in the US for the IS which again to this day, is mind-boggling to me considering the US is 10x the Canadian market. ...

they are probably going to change the center console layout to be like the RC with the mousepad on the driver side and the AVS selector on the right instead of how it is now

Hopefully they fix that navigation flaw and update that mouse crap for newer years to come or else I'm keeping My 2IS until 2016-17

I actually like the mouse. To me its more intuitive than a dial or some sort of up/down/left/right controller. Its the sort of control that I can use while driving since its very intuitive. I have seen however that a number of folks really dislike it.

Definitely agree that the Navi needs to be fixed. It seems to be such a rampant problem that the economics of having to continuously replace these units (and the potential lemon buybacks) and not to mention tarnishing of the quality image will force the issue.

Sounding like it is a good thing I couldn't get out of my lease early. I am really hoping they change (expand) the colors and options available.

If they would add Atomic Silver, ventilated seats and tilting mirrors to the F Sport in the States, I would trade my GS350 F Sport for one. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to buy a smaller car in the Lexus lineup and not enjoy all the bells and whistles.

I'm thinking 2016 for these options. 2015 will most likely be engine upgrade only.

There should be some color changes, not holding my breath for them to ever expand the option list for us

the RC350 has identical engine specs to the current 3.5, if there was an engine change they wouldve announced it with the RC

There are a number of reasons why you can't.

The analog clock will probably look like what's in the RC now

That's true, but to get people to stick with the 3IS they'd need something the RC doesn't have, besides two more doors. It might be a surprise?
