Tire pressure
I've had my car for a week - (yay for me)
I was looking at the tire info on the inside of the door (F sport). PSI of 36??
That's the highest I've ever seen; are you guys running 36??
My tires have been at 32 since I got it.

I have the 225/45/17's and the door jam says 36 psi all around too. I've been experimenting with different pressures and 36 psi seems optimal. Below 36 psi cold the handling suffers. Higher than 36 psi cold and the ride gets harsh. Well maybe not harsh but you feel every crack in the road.
I think the real reason for the high tire pressures is to to boost mpg's. CAFE standards mean everything to the manufacturers. That's the reason we run thin oil (0-20) too.

I had the exact same question as the OP. Got the car and it had 32psi all around. While I was cleaning the car yesterday I happened to see the recommended tire pressure of 36psi. Why would the dealer use 32psi all around if 36psi is recommended? Do they know something that Lexus does not? Just doesn't make sense to me.
A little annoying as I have to put air in the tires now. I know it's a little thing but it's freezing in the NE now and I'd prefer not having to go out and put air in my tires.

If the tire pressures were set in a nice warm garage when they PDI'd your new car the tire psi will drop drastically once you take it out in the freezing temps. Tire pressure drops 1 psi for every 10 degrees in ambient temp. The pressure the door jam says is generally optimal for even tread wear, good handling and a nice ride.

Change of season as the temp varies . Assume you have no leaks, the air pressure will always vary slightly,
How many check the spare tire? I usually over inflate the spare by 10psi and check once a year. It's easy to let the air out if needed.
