Standard Audio upgrades

I had an accurately measured and balanced base box in my Audi which gave very accurate base. That I was able to play for the whole neighborhood was just a side effect. The sound of the car was really good. Just because you can doesn't mean that you should. There is pretty much power in the ML too, but it still lacks proper deep base.
As for music, complex classical music is the hardest for a speaker system, including base.

It's not about volume, it's about quality. I want a nice sound for the full range. The ML delivers 96% of that. The last 4% is low end base.

and for quality, considering how good the factory ML system I can live with the 4% shortcoming.

You might be fine with 96%, but i strive for perfection. I will probably build a better BASS setup if it's possible to do without compromizing the boot space too much.

Some people can't and strive for 100% SQ. Glad you can live with the shortcoming but don't knock those of us grown-ups who want the perfect sound.
