I have a 13 GS350 f sport I purchased back in June used and it has the same problem you all are describing on the highway with the resistance.
Mine has VGRS rwd also. This is ridiculous. Been to dealership three times already. They finally acknowledge that this is a problem after extensive test driving with the service manager.
Anyone have any updates on their particular cars?

CAR IS FIXED! Dealer finally called me back, setup a time to bring the car in. They had the district FTS service engineer come to the dealer and drive the car. They decided to change the "Steering rack and pinion" bc it had "Faulty Magnets."
So i definitely was not making this up. finally they believed me. And the car drives like a dream.... Jim Hudson Lexus in Augusta. Good job.

So after months of frustration... I'M AGAIN TOLD THAT THIS IS NORMAL!
I'm also told there are only 3 other cars on the West Coast with VGRS installed! Crazy, I guess we know why they're blaming the entire issue on this obscure option.
I worked for nearly 2 months with Lexus headquarters, finally convincing them to send a more experienced tech from So. Cal to Nor. Cal. He drove the car a total of 16 miles and diagnosed it as working correctly.
So once again, I'm stuck.
Does ANYONE else with the VGRS option and IS350 F-Sport experience a similar issue? I'm nearly ready to drop the keys off and tell Lexus to shove it.
Thanks

I'm very happy I stumbled across this thread. I have a VGRS F-Sport RWD and get so annoyed driving on the freeway. I agree 100% that the wheel seems to "stick" at a particular angle, and when a correction input is made the steering feels like you're putting pressure against a stop only to have it suddenly release. I'd describe it as a "notchy" feel.
Drives me bananas.

2014. Around town driving it is not noticeable at all. It isn't until 75 or so it becomes apparent... I'm going to print this thread and ask my service advisor sometime soon about it.

FIXED?! Awesome.
Thanks for the update, shiveng!
I'm printing this thread and stuffing it down my dealers throat! Politely, of course...
I had totally given up and have just been counting the days to turn this car back in (leased)! If they can get the steering fixed, I'll consider buying out.
Thanks again for updating.
