Help removing upper control arm bolt...
I am attempting to replace both rear axle half shafts... 2007 is250... stock. 220,000 miles. I am unable to remove these bolts on either side. They won't budge and there is very little room to get any leverage. I have hit them with lage quantities of PB blaster.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks
Jim

Have you tried breaking it loose with a hammer or 5 lbs sledgehammer? Sometimes a little sledge hammer can work magic in tight spots to break loose the stubborn bolt. Another thing is to add a little heat with a small torch.

I beat the crap out of it, no movement. Heat was a problem because of the rubber bushing. I removed the heat after smelling rubber burning. Impact wrench on the bolt did nothing. I ended up cutting it on one side and grinding down the head on the other. Then, I drilled through the bolt. More beating and it finally came out.
