gauge problems

Hi! I just put gas in my Lexus IS and it still says empty. I don't know what's wrong with it. Do you guys have any idea what could be wrong with it?

Sounds like the floater on the sending unit isn't working properly. I hope you truly did fill it back up so you don't run out of gas somewhere.
