Default Oil & Filter Change @ Toyota Dealership?

Does anyone have or had their 5k interval oil/filter change done at a Toyota dealership? The Lexus dealer isn't that far away but the Toyota dealer is just so much closer... and I hear it's slightly cheaper as well.

Is there any reason not to get it done at a Toyota dealer? Does the oil change show up in the vehicle service records?

the service will show up in service records however lexus will not be able to pull it up on there end. i know this for fact because i was just trying to pull up service history for a lexus i was working on at toyota dealership i wrench at but since the dealership is not a registered lexus dealer we can't do it. there is no reason it would be a big deal to do service at toyota though. I've serviced plenty of lexus vehicles at toyota no problem. if worse comes to worse they can always contact a toyota dealership for service records if there is a warranty dispute. anything that needs heavy labor or diag i would bring to the lexus dealer. we just don't have the special tools for some of the stuff and the guys at lexus see problems on certain cars and engines often enough to give a better diagnosis.

I have been taking my car for oil changed at Toyota ever since I bought it. Lexus is basically a Toyota with different badge . In fact, our oil filters are used in many Toyota models.

And about 25 miles further away whereas the Toyota dealership is less than 2 miles away.

not always true. the lexus dealer a few blocks away has a lower labor rate than the toyota dealership i work at. pretty sure its only because we are a corporate own dealership though where the lexus dealer is more of a super rich local person owned dealer.
