I feel like the IS350 lack low end torque for daily driving. There is no power in the 0-3kRPM. The power kicks in after 3k RPM. I have to step on it a lot more compared to a 335i or other FI cars like a GTI, S4.
I hope they boost the IS350 to 350 horsepower. Kind of disappointed of Lexus keeping the horsepower the same from the 2nd gen to 3rd gen.

I think up to 0-60 is crazy on the IS350. Actually anything from 0 is impressive for the IS350. Anything on a roll, not so much.

I really hope Lexus distribute some more torque in the 1k-3k RPM range like what they did in the Bimmers.
The IS350 i think is actually underrated, it feels like 400 HP car in 1st and 2nd gear to me and I'm serious. The higher the gears, the less aggressive it is but 1st and 2nd gear in IS350 is just supercar like. I can induce power oversteering by spinning the tire so easy in these 2 gears on the IS350 and I love doing that in overcross haha.

idk why everyone thinks the is250 is so underpowered. I mean i know its slower than the 350, but my take is this: even though the 2.5L v6 has 204 hp and 148 pd ft of torque, it still has plenty of power for everyday driving. Sometimes i do a 0-60 just for fun in S using the paddles of course, and using power mode, for me it feels so much more responsive has plenty of get up and go. i know the torque number isnt in the low 0-3K rpm but overall for me its has good enough power.

You are absolutely right, 200 HP is PLENTY and MORE THAN ENOUGH for street driving That i totally agree. We don't need anything more than that. In fact, 99.9% of all of us can NOT drive the car at its very limit on the street legally and safely.
Anyhow, when you step into the IS350, you will feel the IS250 being way way way underpowered. The difference is significant. You can feel that difference no matter how you drive. Even my parents feel the it and call the IS350 unsafe car to drive lol.

5 seconds to 60mph in a 250 is simply not possible, the 2003 Accord V6 6MT broke into the 5's (5.8s avg to 60) with it's 240hp V6 (211lb-ft. of torque), and that car was FAST for what it was, the ONLY car that I have felt has similar "pull" to the 350, the 250 is somewhere in the low 7 second range, ~15 seconds in the quarter. Put it simply, it's just not that quick. It does however come with a manual transmission option, which if you are used to automatics, can "feel" faster than it is.

I feel like even 306hp/270 torque is not enough for my daily drive. I step on my car pretty heavily to merge on the freeway or passing. There is just not enough low end torque for my daily drive because it consists of a lot of stop and go. If Lexus makes the IS with 250hp/250 torque with all the torque coming in around 1500RPM. That would be perfect DD car.
