Default HELP! URGENT! -- Removing Steering ECU

Hi there,

I'm in the process of removing the ISF steering ecu and swapping back the stock and ran into a little problem.

There are 3 connections to the ECU

I was able to remove 2 connectors however having trouble with the third one

See image below

Anyone know how I can get this dam thing off?
(there was a little black piece clipped on to it at first but I removed that part)

Thanks!

I have yet to do this with my car, but it sort of looks like that U shaped part on the connector should be pulled straight up toward you,? it looks to me as some sort of clamping safety feature that ensures the connection does not come disconnected while driving. Let me know if you figure it out as I will be doing this mod very soon.

Yeah pretty much every step I got stuck was due to lack of force because I was afraid of breaking things.

I understand what you mean. I Had the same mind set as you also but with a different subject of Shark Fin Antenna. Having to pop the rear Dome Lights out by pulling on the rear end you really need to yank that thing down. It really feels like it will break and the force is the whole two hand yank pull.
Anyways glad you got it fix yourself.
