Default Nav DVD eject

Hey everyone,

So I was messing my setting on my 06 IS350 with ML today and when I went into my MENU setting I noticed there's a button on top that says "Map DVD" after pressing said button It takes me to a new screen that gives me the option of ejecting the DVD or "Covered Area"

Now my question to you folk is , if I WERE to press the eject button what would happen??

Because from my understanding the screen needs to be removed in order to get to the disc correct?

Thanks everyone

It isn't under the screen. The Nav DVD is under the clock/hazard switch area. If you pressed eject it would try to eject the disc, but it would likely just go back into the slot once it encountered resistance. To remove the clock part you can use a couple of paperclips if I recall correctly in the tiny holes on either side of the clock panel. Once you insert them they should release the clips holding it in place.

^Correct! I've been wanting to do a NAV disc update, so I'd go through the same process.

The two tools to remove the clock/switch should be in the toolkit in the trunk if the previous owner hadn't lost them. Mine were in there and made it a piece of cake to remove the clock/switch section .Just updated my Nav disc to a hacked 14.1 and now it doesn't look like I'm driving offroad on my way home from work now.lol

the tools are located in the "spline" of the tool kit and look like two small metal probes
