iPod Integration - Bluetooh Adapter
Good morning all,
My 07 IS350 has a iPod integration kit (30 pin connection) that is completely useless to me since I own a android. I purchased a bluetooth adapter (see link below) as an attempt to avoid using a wired AUX coord to stream music from my phone. However, the iPod integration is smarter than I had anticipated and knows that the bluetooth adapter is not an Apple product so it won't play any music
Has anyone found a bluetooth adapter for their iPod integration kit that tricks the system into think the adapter is an apple product?
Thanks,

I got the original Blackberry Remote Stereo Gateway for Bluetooth streaming. (Don't get the new Music Gateway; it significantly decreases the volume and bass). It uses the AUX port and can be conveniently hidden in the front armrest console. It also requires a separate USB car charger for power using a USB to USB Mini B cable. It comes with a cable, but it stuck up too much for me to close the armrest so I recommend getting a 90* cable. You also might need a ground loop isolator to prevent humming that changes pitch as the RPMs change.

So although I don't have personal experience with this in my 2011 IS250, because it came with Bluetooth audio integration I feel your pain. In my truck and my Harley I bought 2 of these

As the above person mentioned just plug it into your aux input and turn it on. The sound quality is outstanding and has a great battery life. It is battery powered so you have to charge it every so often. But that's by micro USB which the vast majority of phones have today. As yoh can see its 90 degree angled so should fit in your center console without issues. That's it.

Thanks for the responses. Actually I am using a bluetooth AUX audio integration as you both have mentioned and it works fine minus the following:
1. It hums with the usb charger and AUX. When I had the ground loop isolator it deteriorated the sound quality significantly.
2. I'm looking for a system that powers on when i start the car. I currently have to power my bluetooth AUX manually when I enter the car.
The bluetooth AUX is a minor inconvenience but I'll deal with it if it is the best option I have until i can figure something else out.
Thanks
