Fumoto Drain on IS 350?
I always like running a Fumoto Drain Valve on my cars. I have them on my SUV's and just installed one today on my IS today with a fresh oil change. Problem is, it sticks 1/2" below skid plate. Makes me nervous...
Anybody else running a Fumoto valve?

Which one did you get? They make them without a nipple(F-103),and with a short and long nipple. I have one with a long nipple on my 4Runner and love it but it's above the skid plates and wan't to put one on my new IS350 but I would be leary if it was sticking out on a car this low.

Nah, not lowered. Yeah, I'm probably just being over cautious. Plus where I live there's not a lot of uneven//low pavement or road debris to worry about.
I got the 103S- the one with the short nipple. I have one on my (wife's) 08' Runner. Also have one on my 08' Sequoia. I'm not a fan of the flush design. Seems like it would be hard to clean and trap dirt in there. I also run the plastic lock-outs,mostly as a mental safeguard.
It does stick down, but ever so slightly. You have to almost look for it.
I do agree it make the oil change longer, but without messing with drain bolts, it's worth it to me.
I just do other checks while it's draining, air filter, throttle body, radiator and brake fluids...
